How do we deal with delivery

We deliver in three different ways which are generally governed by weight and size

1. Orders up to 1.5 Kg and under 600mm (2ft) long are sent by Royal Mail 1st Class unless the value of the goods is such that we require a signature. We have to comply with Royal Mail size and weight criteria.

2. Orders up to 20Kg are sent on Parcelforce - there may be more than 1 package as we have to consider dimensions and protect against damage. Some products such as Boby Trollies and Drafting machines are always shipped on their own as we cannot pack anything else with them. You will receive an email from Parcelforce telling you they are shipping for us and giving you a tracking number which you can enter onto their web site to find out where your parcel is. You can contact the local Parcelforce depot - their number is on the tracking site - to make local arrangements for your delivery. Please note that Parcelforce surcharge us for deliveries to Northern Ireland and Highlands and Islands - you will find costs listed above. Deliveries to remote areas may tale a day longer. Please note that the delivery times quoted are for working days NOT Saturdays, Sundays or Bank Holidays. Christmas to the New Year is also a difficult time - so please check our site for details at the time.

3. Palletline. We ship larger items such as some Drawing Boards, Plan Chests on a pallet by Palletline. Palletline use 7.5 tonne lorries with a tail lift. The driver will help you unload as best he can. He will have a pallet skate but it cannot climb kerbs or steps and cannot be used on uneven surfaces such as gravel. You can unpack the individual items off the pallet whilst it is on the lorry. It all sounds daunting but in fact is quite simple and the equipment does arrive undamaged. Shipping to Scotland and N Ireland is by quotation. Delivery time is 3 days or there is an express 24 hour service available at extra cost on request.
