Designed by Roger Jullian in 1945 this is the original French Sketch Box Easel renowned for its stability. The deep box has a drawer and a storage space below for all your paints, brushes and ancillary equipment. Supplied complete with carry bag, brush flannel, spares kit, and quality leather carry strap and handle. The sketch box drawer is divided into 3 easy to clean chrome metal interior, ideal for paint, tubes and drawing materials and below the drawer there are 2 deep metal lined compartments below the drawer which measure 460mm long x 100mm wide x 330mm deep which are designed for brush storage and other longer items.

Unlike the full size the half size does not have a compartment under the drawer. The Rexy was conceived by Roger Jullian in the late fifties as a Field Easel which would have the features of the French Easel but could be used for water colour or oil painting. Discontinued for a while, we have now re-introduced it to meet the demand for a stable watercolour easel which can double as a lightweight easel for oils.

The easel offers a full range of adjustment in both height and angle. It can be used either in the horizontal position or in the vertical position. The easel is supplied with a strong carry bag which has a substantial pocket for water colour blocks etc.

The Jullian Field Easel is a lightweight but very sturdy field easel designed for use inside our outside. Made in oiled beech wood with a leather securing strap.

Often known as a Universal easel the Field will cope with most tasks. There is a "tommy" bar for tightening the easel which is eassier to use than a wing nut. The legs have moulded-on feet. The telescoping legs are held in place with a brass plate. The Jullian logo is burned into the top block guaranteeing a quality product. Material drawers have the same quality construction of the Jullian French Easel drawer. Includes a finished mahogany palette and a divided chrome lined interior section. Beech Wood base. Unlike the drawer that came with your easel, there is a slot into which the palette slides, making it a secure cover that can't come off when turned upside down. There is also have an ingenious brass, turn-twist, hinged clasp. So no matter how you pick up or manoeuvre these boxes they stay shut and the contents remain safely inside.

Set of three leg spikes designed to slip onto the Rexy leg to give security to the easel. These are made in brass finish with a knurled thumb screw. There is an internal sprong blade which will pressure against the easel leg ensuring maximum stablity.

The overall length is 65mm and the length of the spike is 25mm.
